There was a lot of work and determination to get there and now I am ready to fight this!

Many know me as the Bearded Runner in Kansas City and the surrounding areas. I love the running community here and have always done what I can to improve it, from volunteering at races to just being a friendly face at group runs and sharing the BeardedRunner discount code. I'd like to think I touched many runners' lives.

Well, I need help now.

For the past month, I have been having gut issues that led me to the doctor. From that appointment to now I have seen specialists, had tests run, blood work, CT Scan, and there will be a liver biopsy and a PET scan in the near future...

Once those are complete I will get to see my oncologist to weigh my options of treatment.

I have been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer that has metastasized to the Liver and the Abdominal Wall.
