George is a friend & former LCHS classmate of all of us who are campaigning on his behalf. He is 46 years old with a wife & 3 children. To say George is a generous, big-hearted & kind man, is an understatement. In the Fall of 2016 he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. During the course of all the tests to determine the diagnosis, another (more urgent) problems was discovered. His brain stem & spinal column have almost no space between them. His condition is very rare (less than .5%) If he falls, is bumped or moves in the wrong way, it will likely be fatal. The surgery needed for George is now CRUCIAL & scheduling has been moved up. He will have to have his skull, neck & spine fused together and will be unable to move his neck, but this will allow the space necessary between his brain stem and spine, alleviate the related symptoms, save his life and then hopefully allow them to focus on treatment for the Parkinson's.

Because of this, George was forced to stop working in September (he was self-employed). His wife is employed full time but her work does not provide health insurance, so they have none.  They have already incurred so many medical costs because of the lengthy and expensive tests & visits just for a diagnosis. The financial need is URGENT and they need your help today! The money will be used towards the surgery, doctor bills and care for George for afterwards. If anyone has every been worthy of being blessed, it's George.
