Drought Relief for Bay Area Farm Animals

Donation protected

The California Drought continues impacting our communities, including some of the most vulnerable animals.

During the past month, Flat Broke Farm, a 16-year-old 501(c)(3) committed to helping California's large animals in need, has received more than 1100 requests for help. Many wells in the North Bay are going dry, leaving animals and those caring for them desperate for assistance. Goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, horses and more ... all quickly becoming victims of dry times. We've seen elderly famers traveling long distances trying to truck in water from far-away family or friends. Families with two or three pet goats are in tears hoping to protect their furry or feathered family members.

Flat Broke Farm is helping every way we can: delivering water and feed, and offering temporary boarding to those in the most perilous situations. We've always been here to help keep animals safe in times of need, from wildfires, abuse or abandonment cases and whatever calls may come. But we're experiencing one of the most devastating, wide-spread crises since we began our lifesaving mission, and it's one where we must ask for others' help until much-needed rain can heal.

Right now, as we continue assisting with as many cases as possible, we're trying to also purchase a Water Buffalo towable water trailer to help fill empty troughs throughout the county.

Please give what you can to help us help our neighbors - on both two legs and four!
