Hi, my name is Uwa. I am the President of the African Women Mobilization Commission (AWMC), a non-profit 501c 3. organization based in Georgia. Our EIN 87-2942377 identifies us as such, and all donations are tax-deductible. Our mission includes helping vulnerable women and their children. There are so many hot spots in the world where women and children are dying due to a lack of the very basic necessities. We, at  AWMC, are concerned about the devastation and havoc internal displacement is having on the lives of vulnerable women and children. There are 889 women and 1100 children at four Internally Displaced Person camps in Maiduguri, in Bornu State Nigeria. Forced to run from their homes because of the activities of the Boko Haram terrorist group, they are in desperate need of food items, water, and other necessities. Children are dying unnecessarily while women and young girls are sexually abused and assaulted regularly. 

AWMC understands that there is value in every life, and seeks to help to alleviate these burdens, and return a semblance of hope to this suffering humanity. No amount is too small and can be instrumental in changing lives. Please give generously!
