Hi all! If you know my dad, Barry, then you know that he has been the biggest supporter of my sister and me. He put us through college, helped me move across the country, and has always been there for us in every way possible.

About a month ago, we found out that he has to have open-heart surgery to have a few bypasses done and have one of his valves replaced. Dad has his own appliance business and works for himself, but he won’t be able to work until at least 6 months post-op. During that time, he is relying on his savings. He only found out a few days prior that the copay for this operation is $8,000, and I worry about him worrying about the big financial hit he just took.
