Hi! We are Andrea and James Baldwin of Silsbee, TX. We just purchased a trailer house for our family to move into due to the house my father left for me being in too much debt for us to satisfy in a timely manner. $7,500 and $650 a month lot lease is more doable on mine and my husband's income versus the $120k debt of my father's property. We tried everything, but we can't even afford the average $1,200 month rent in our area. My 19 year old son is just starting out and is living with us, as well as my 10 and 6 year old daughters. The trailer is sound, however it needs a lot of work. There is water damage to the walls from the tubs/showers/sinks not being properly water resistant sealed and the kitchen counter is weak and partially collapsed. There are also a couple weak spots in the kitchen and living room floors, front and back doors need replaced, and there is water damage to one of the bedrooms under a window that was apparently left open in the rain. We aren't trying to renovate with expensive replacements, rather find what is on sale or second hand. So, in lieu of a house warming party, my husband and I need assistance in financially getting the trailer fixed so that our family can have a decent and affordable place to live. Sheetrock, plywood, shower surrounds, counter top, bathroom counters, faucets, GFCI electrical outlets, and other materials needed. We're estimating a minimum of up to $3,000 in renovations but hoping we can do it for less! Our goal is to have the trailer move-in ready by the end of May.
