Cakes in a War Zone: Help The Baker of Gaza Continue

A Renewed Call for Support

In Gaza, where so much has been taken, Ibrahim chose to give something back—joy.

Before the war, Ibrahim owned three bakeries. Today, they are gone—bombed, damaged, and stripped of the tools he once relied on.

But instead of giving up, he began baking cakes for displaced children.

In the middle of destruction, he creates moments of happiness—small celebrations for children living through unimaginable loss.

His story was featured by NPR, where he became known as “The Baker of Gaza.”

Thanks to early support, Ibrahim was able to continue for a time.

But now, the situation has become urgent again.

His equipment is failing. He is forced to rely on damaged, makeshift tools. Ingredients are harder to access. And the demand from children and families continues to grow.

Without support, he may be forced to stop.
