I'm at Risk of Severe disability / Paralysis without early intervention or never recovering if left too long
— I Need Urgent Surgery
Help Alison Recover & Keep Her Dream Alive
Hi, I’m Alison. I’ve been working with horses since I was 11 years old. The very first time I sat in the saddle, I knew I wanted to help disadvantaged children experience the same joy and freedom that horses gave me. That dream — to run a dressage holiday and equine therapy centre — has stayed in my heart ever since.and with the land i have now ive been ready to start my buisness for sometime but left waiting for medical help treatment
Over the years I’ve had a few accidents, but I’ve always got back up. Before my health took drastic turn, I made the decision to leave a damp flat and move into a van so I could save money for my business dream. But what I thought was told was a tendon injury turned out to be the final stages of osteoarthritis and a fast-progressing spinal condition that has now stopped me in my tracks.
Right now, I can’t walk far, cycle, or lift things on my own. The van is no longer a suitable place for me to recover. I’m relying on friends for help, but I urgently need a safe space — ideally a room to rent from a female or my own accommodation — where I can heal after surgery.
Ive contacted the homless team all to be told there are no flats or accommodation and i would have to be in thousands of pounds worth of debt, and go back to another curropt agency like the last that will steal my deposit this does not seem like help, thousands of pounds worth of debt as well as a major operation
The NHS are now working with me, and I’m grateful, but the wait for surgery is daunting. If I could raise enough to go private, I could be booked in much sooner and have the best chance of a full recovery.
My goal:
£10,000–£15,000 for surgery and safe recovery space
Immediate help with food, transport, and daily support until I’m back on my feet
A fresh start to rebuild towards my equestrian therapy business dream and helping others
I’m determined to get through this and get back to helping people and horses. Every donation, share, or kind message brings me closer to recovery and to making my dream a reality.
Thank you for believing in me.
