Never did I think we’d have to post something like this and it kills me to but we recently had our anatomy scan and much to our surprise it wasn’t good. We were told baby more than likely only had 2-4 weeks left to survive, I completely zoned out after hearing that. Never did I think that was how our appointment would go. The issue is my placenta isn’t as healthy as it should be, baby isn’t getting enough nutrients or blood flow from me. Causing him to have a growth restriction, he should be at least 1lb by now and he is only 8 ounces. Thankfully we were sent to MFM doctor in New Braunfels. They were great in explaining why this is so dangerous at such an early gestational age, and gave us just one option. Premature delivery. I’m currently admitted at the hospital, to keep a close eye on baby and I. Baby will be getting his steroid shots, steroids can speed up the development of the baby's lungs. This will give baby a better chance of surviving since inside me of isn't doing him any good. Of course this is the last thing I ever imagined would be the solution, we were really praying for a miracle that baby would start growing in a matter of days but unfortunately this is the best and only option. Baby Emilio isn’t suppose to be here till August but he wants to be like his momma and come way sooner than he should. This is obviously a huge shock to us, we are so unprepared. As selfish as it sounds I feel like I was robbed out of my pregnancy journey I waited so long for, I was barley starting to plan my baby shower, we finally agreed on a name. Everything just changed in a matter of days. We are asking for prayers. Pray pray pray for us. It’s really scary knowing how tiny baby will be. But if he’s anything like his daddy I know he’ll be stubborn and be our little warrior. I hate to even ask but if you can please donate anything as I don’t know how long we will be out of work for, our doctor said to plan for a month but could be longer. Donations will help cover medical bills, financial responsibilities and gas for Jeremy to come back and fourth every night after work. Absolutely anything will help, we thought we had more time to save and buy baby what he needed but we were so blindsided by this. I wish we could pause life and responsibilities while we go through this but that's impossible.
