Hi my name is Todd Dudley and my wife Alexis and I are setting this up to help with expenses when our daughter is born late September. Our daughter Rosalie has been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect called transposition of the greater arteries which means the two major arteries of her heart are switched and because of this she will not be able to oxygenate her body when she is born and will need open heart surgery within a few days after birth. This surgery will require the surgeon to go in and switch these two arteries and reattach them to the correct sides of the heart. They also have to move the coronary arteries as well which is the tricky part. Anything would help us with living expenses, travel, food, and medical bills associated with her having to stay in UVA NICU and Cardiac ICU for 3 weeks to a month. My wife will be staying up there the whole time and I’ll have to travel back and forth and take care of our 20 month old. We really appreciate any help so we don’t have to stress about bills while we are already extremely worried for our daughter and her recovery.
