This was originally organized to assist in our expenses as we fought to save Baby Alexander's life. We were ultimately unsuccessful in that, after 6 weeks of struggle. Because of this time consuming ordeal, I lost my job as well, since I couldn't work while being in a hospital hundreds of miles from home. 

   At this point, our story went viral a year after this ordeal, and I am being flooded with donations. This was unexpected, as it was not the original intent of this fundraiser. The intent was to cover expenses for the weeks of struggle at a hospital several hundred miles from home.
