This is our dear friend, Brian Crane. He's a loved friend to us and many others. He is a husband, a father, and a son who is really suffering.

On September 6th 2017, (Brian's birthday) Brian went to the Doctor to get an X-ray of his ribs. He had been quite sick and had been experiencing a lot of pain. Initially, doctors told Brian that he had calcium deposits in some of his previously broken ribs. Confused and determined, Brian requested further testing. He was then told that he was diabetic and was put on all kinds of medication. Brian still didn't feel well and was in a terrible amount of pain. He kept pushing forward hoping to feel well again.

On the afternoon of September 22nd 2017, Brian was admitted into the ER at St. Alphonsus in Boise, Idaho. Brian remained there for 6 days and had 2 unexpected surgeries. Brian received the devastating news that there was a tumor in his bile duct, and he was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic cancer and it was life threatening.

On November 8th, Brian went through his first round of chemo in Pheonix, Arizona. He has gone every other week and has been through 7 rounds of chemo. After his most recent CT scan, they discovered the tumor has not shrunk at all. Chemo did prevent the tumor from spreading, so that was good news.  He is borderline resectable- meaning blood vessels are wrapped around the tumor making it difficult for surgery.

Brian has to have this surgery to survive. The tumor has to be cut out, but it is very risky, and very costly.

Today, February 19th, 2018 Brian begins a high dose of targeted radiation (over the course of 5 days) to attempt to remove the blood vessels from the tumor and help the surgeon to remove it safely.

Brian has had insurmountable pain, sickness, grief, happiness, acceptance, fear, and much anticipation to get to this surgery.

All the while the medical bills keep piling up. Brian is worried about how to cover his bills while he is unable to work and his savings has slowly dwindled down to nothing.

My husband and I would really like to help raise money for Brian's up-coming surgery and many of the other expenses that he is trying hard to cover on his own.  (Prescriptions, Doctors appointments, and his previous surgeries to name a few!)

We would like to take some of the burden off of Brian's shoulders so he can focus on getting healthy and fighting this cancer! He has enough to worry about!

Anything helps and I know Brian and his wife Jatan would be so appreciative!

Please help us if you can, even $5 helps us reach our goal!

Thank you so much!
