Send Brandon to Study Opera in Italy
Donation protected
Hello friends, family, and perhaps even strangers!
My amazing husband, Brandon, hates asking for money... so I'm doing it for him.
If you know Brandon, you know his incredible talent. If you don't, well, check out this video and see for yourself!
Recently, Brandon was invited to participate in the Opera Lucca Summer program: a festival for singers, composers, and pianists in Lucca, Italy, the birthplace of Puccini.
In addition to intensive Italian language training (the equivalent of a semester in just four weeks!), this program will allow him to study under some truly renowned teachers and performers and potentially be scouted by opera companies from around the globe. It is an unbelievable educational and career opportunity, and I want nothing more than to give it to him.
I mean, seriously, look at this dude. He is the absolute best.
How could I not do everything in my power to make sure this goober receives everything wonderful in the world?
Which is why I'm here, asking for your help.
If you've met Brandon, you know that he will go above and beyond for the people he cares about. If you've worked with him, you know the hard work, dedication, and joy he brings to every appearance on stage.
(Yup, that's us. We're *that* couple.)
He takes the best care of me (and if you know me, you know that I'm not good at letting people do that!), and now I get to take care of him... by asking for money.
So, let's get down to the nitty gritty:
Tuition and housing for the program runs $4200, not including airfare, food, or other living expenses while there. He'll also need to pay for an expedited passport application.
And there's also the fact that I'll be here in the States, holding down the fort (and swallowing my jealousy) while he's gone, so any remaining funds will go to provide me with an endless supply of Haagen Das.
I'm kidding, of course. All funds will go toward tuition and expenses.
If I could do it on my own, I would. But as many of you know, I've recently switched careers and am working as an Apprentice Electrician, which--much like this program will for Brandon--will pay off in the long run, but right now doesn't pay much at all.
Any help you can offer will go a long way toward helping one Bear achieve his dreams... and will make his wife exceptionally happy.
