Building on Hope's 2018 Renovation
Donation protected
Every two years, Building on Hope rallies hundreds of volunteers to complete a weeklong, community-supported renovation of a nonprofit facility. In the past eight years, Building on Hope has completed $3.6 million in work for organizations including Girls Inc., Easterseals, Opportunity Networks and the Manchester Police Athletic League.
In May 2018, Building on Hope seeks to transform the Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire's (CCCNH) emergency shelter in Concord, NH. CCCNH is exclusively dedicated to working with and providing services to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, stalking and child abuse.
Sadly, the demand for emergency shelter is high, and CCCNH was forced to turn away more than 180 women and 159 children in 2016 due to capacity limitations.
With your help, Building on Hope will nearly double the bed space from 13 to 24 beds, create play areas for children, improve interaction flow between residents, designate rooms for survivors to meet with their legal and support providers, and allow the building to be handicap-accessible.
Your donation will transform the lives of victims of sexual assault and domestic abuse. Please give what you can.
Building on Hope’s motto is “many hands make light work.” Please lend a hand to this important cause.
