In 11 days my son, Brian Zachary Simpson, would have turned 14 years old. At the age of one Brian (lovingly known as BJ) was diagnosed with metachromatic leukodystrophy. A rare recessive gene disease that causes one to stop moving forward in growth and development physically and mentally. Because of his illness no life insurance company would cover BJ in the event of his death.
In two (2) days the funeral home would like to start making arrangements for BJ's flight home. All donations will go directly to a fund to be used exclusively for BJ's Flight Home and any exspenses related to having him laid peacefully to rest.
We were very excited to celebrate another year of his amazing life after just celebrating Christmas as a family. We are devasted to instead be planning BJ's homecoming as an angel.
