In Memoriam of KJ Keller

Help KJ’s legacy by giving to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast.

The Keller family moved to Gulfport in 1955. In 1971, they settled in Forest Heights where they still reside. KJ established a lawn and home service business which operated for over 40 years. His friends and clients spanned the Mississippi Gulf Coast from Bay St.Louis to Ocean Springs and beyond.

KJ gave everyone who asked a chance and a job. If they fell short, he gave most people many more chances. His radiant smile was the first thing that people noticed, followed by his kindness and compassion towards others. Whether it was mowing their lawn, fixing their car or leaky pipes, a ride to the doctor's office, moving furniture, offering jobs to others, or helping people in distress, KJ was always there.

KJ completed eighth grade and then left school for the workplace. A hard worker and a gifted repairman, KJ was at a disadvantage when it came to filling out forms, understanding documents, and using the internet due to a learning disability. The education programs at the Gulf Coast Boys & Girls Club in Forest Heights directly impact children in KJ’s community, including those who have learning disabilities.

In loving memory of Mr. KJ Keller.
