Hi everyone.... just a quick update on Azaela. She's doing much better. She has good/bad days, & some emotional days, but she is trying her best to get through them. For her age, she does a fantastic job communicating with me when her numbers are too high/low. With your donations, I've been able to purchase her pump, some of her monthly medications, and was able to make payments on a couple of the incoming medical bills. I'm a mom of 3 and I do work my 'bumm' off to care for my 3 kids, but costs of medication is off the hook, even with medical coverage. I still need help paying for past due medical bills and monthly medications. Please know I appreciate all of you for what you've already helped with. You have no idea how humbled I am to see that people really do still care. Especially in such a broken society. You're the ones who make a difference in this world.
Thank you for your continued donations & prayers through Azaela's journey.
Last year my daughter was in pediatric ICU and diagnosed with type one diabetes. The onset happened out of nowhere, for those of you who don’t know Type one diabetes is when your pancreas no longer functions and produces the insulin you need on its own
her sugar levels were 792 and she was DKA (keto acidosis) which is highly deadly for anyone.
This last year she’s had several appointments, loads of medications, needle pokes, blood draws, etc.
She went to visit her father this summer and is currently in the hospital again, DKA (keto acidosis) due to insulin pump malfunction
she will be there until she’s in stable condition and her ketones are cleared.
Any donations are greatly appreciated but of course not required.
thank you to those of you who have sent prayers and kind words.
