¡Hola! Me llamo David Gamarra, soy violinista venezolano y actualmente formo parte de la Orquesta Barroca Simón Bolívar.

Un poco sobre mí: Cuando tenía 3 años di mis primeros pasos en la música en El Sistema y a los 5 comencé con el violín. Desde un principio sentía mucha curiosidad por el instrumento y, con el paso de los años, ese sentimiento se convirtió en una pasión. A los 11 años entré en la Academia Latinoamericana de Violín y al Conservatorio de Música Simón Bolívar; para ese entonces tenía claro que quería convertime en un músico profesional y me propuse esa meta.

Recientemente recibí una invitación para participar en la segunda -y última- ronda de audiciones para cursar estudios de música en la Universidad de las Artes de Graz, en Austria. Esta es una oportunidad enorme que he anhelado por mucho tiempo y me gustaría pedirles su ayuda para que sea posible continuar este sueño.

Desafortunadamente, no cuento con los recursos económicos necesarios para pagar semejante viaje, por esta razón quisiera pedirles su apoyo. Con el dinero recaudado podré costear los pasajes a Austria y otros gastos del viaje. Cualquier aporte, por más mínimo que sea, se los agradeceré mucho.

Hi! I'm David Gamarra, I'm a Venezuelan violinist and currently part of the Simón Bolívar Baroque Orchestra.

A little bit about myself: When I was 3 years old, I began my first steps in music at El Sistema, and when I was 5 I started taking violin lessons. From the beggining, I felt a lot of curiosity for the instrument and, over the years, that feeling became a passion. When I turned 11, I entered the Latin American Violin Academy and the Simón Bolívar Music Conservatory, back then I was sure I wanted to become a professional musician so I set that to myself as a goal.

Recently, I received an invitation to participate in the second -and last- audition round to carry out my music studies at the University of the Arts in Graz, in Austria. This is a huge oportunity I've waited a long time for, and I'd like to ask for your support help to continue this dream.

Unfortunately, I don't have the financial means to afford a trip to Austria, that is why I'd like to ask for your support.
