Donation protected
I have an urge to advocate for Basotho girls in need of sanitary pads. My mother grew up in Morija, Lesotho, where sanitary pads were not readily available for females. In the past, many women in Lesotho had to resort to using materials, such as cow skin, cotton wool, toilet paper, and cloth, that did not provide aid for menstruation. The Hlokomela Banana campaign raises awareness about this issue that is still occurring today. I wanted to give back to Lesotho because of my want to eliminate this issue. Many girls in Lesotho miss school because of their period. My mission is to help by raising funds, donating pads in order to expose them to healthy options to manage menstruation. I believe that every girl should have the opportunity for a beneficial education and not miss out on expanding their knowledge and having great careers and livelihoods. I plan to present the profits raised to the Queen of Lesotho. The link below is a video of me and my friends discussing the importance of pads for all females. The video will be played for girls and school officials in Lesotho.
