Dominic Genovese, Dave to some, is a husband, a father, an amazing chef, a jokester, a Dolphin and Mets fan ..... But most recently a cancer fighter. Dominic is married to Janis, and has two sons Matthew and Michael.
Late last year we learned about Dominic's diagnosis with a rare form of an aggressive cancer. We immediately knew that his battle was going to be long and difficult. Our family bound together and after several procedures and treatment cycles, Dominic unfortunately is still suffering with cancer. As a result of Dominic’s rigorous treatment schedule, Janis has been his main care taker and has scraficed time away from her job to care for Dominic. So as you can imagine funds are tight and medical bills are stacking high.
Most people have someone in their family or close to their family battling cancer. For our family we have seen cancer take over in that last 10 years. Several members have lost their battle and our dynamics have truly shifted. It truly has been a rocky road for Janis, losing her father in March of 2014 and her mother in 2003, both to this horrible disease.
Today we are faced with Dominic's battle with a rare cancer that has aggressively take his life hostage. But we are here encouraging him to keep fighting and get healthy. The money raised will be used for anything from paying bills, keeping food on the table… to making Dominic’s life happier and easier.
