Agape Bay Area is GROWING!
We are so excited to announce that our community is thriving and growing and we are therefore expanding our space. Starting on July 1st we will have over twice the square footage as before which will allow us to offer more classes, services, and other events.
We are so happy to be in Oakland and will now be in our space FULL TIME!!!
Other Exciting News
In December of last year, Rev. Michael Beckwith and The Agape International Spiritual Center selected our community to be an AGAPE satelite community.
We feel so blessed to now be a part of the Agape Family.
Who We Are
Agape Bay Area is a 21st century movement for people who consider themselves spiritual explorers and have a divine impulse for personal and global transformation. Our mission is to encourage and inspire the awakening of human consciousness.
The essence of Agape is best described by its founder, Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith:
“When I founded the Agape International Spiritual Center and community in 1986, we 'visioned' it as a movement that would take a stand for love, for peace, for being a beneficial presence on the planet."
That’s why it was named “Agape,” which in Greek means unconditional love. Agape’s vision is fueled by the love of the One indefinable yet unmistakable Presence whose vehicle on earth is the human heart and soul.

Why we are Asking for Your Help
We are expanding our space in Oakland and are so grateful this new space will alow us to expand our offerings to you, our community.
Quite simply, we have created this campaign to help offset our expansion expenses.
Our intention is to raise $100,000 by June 15th to facilitate this expansion. ($50,000 to be raised here on GoFundMe and an additional $50,000 to be raised through other fundraising efforts)
Here is a List of the Proposed Upgrades:
Newly refinished hardwood floors in ALL our rooms.
A permanent stage and upgraded sound system.
New audio visual equipment.
New chairs for our sanctuary. (No more pews)
A new sign for the front of the building.
A new kitchenette for our Sunday community hour.
Completely upgraded and remodeled bathrooms.
Office furniture and decorative items.
Additionally, this will allow us to maintain a financial reserve to help up with our ongoing $10,000 a month rent.
