Austin area schools book project

Hello Friends

Arthi and I(Anand) are working on a project to get two highly acclaimed books on India to all the Austin area school libraries (total 307 schools)  and public libraries (total 34), covering Williamson and Travis counties. We have read these books and can validate that they show our beloved India, its culture and traditions in very good light. I am sure you will agree that it is very important for children (both Indian-Americans and Americans) in our schools to learn about India without misrepresentation. It is our belief that these two books will go a long way in correcting any misconceptions and showcasing India and her culture in all her glory. These books will be donated on behalf of "Indian-American community of Austin".

Robert Arnett is the author and photographer of the two multi-award winning books:
India Unveiled, Spirit, Tradition, People, a coffee-table book with text and photographs that is being acknowledged as “the best book of its type on India” and
Finders Keepers?, a children’s book set in India. For more information on the books visit www.AtmanPress.com

Both books have been donated to over 10,000 public school libraries, classrooms, and public libraries in the US, to include all schools in Georgia, Tennessee, Maryland, Utah, Mississippi (148 of 151 districts ), and all California high schools. They are also in all Houston Metro and Dallas Metro area public schools and many other cities in the country.
