AUNTY ROBBIE'S FIGHT AGAINST CANCER
Donation protected
Hi my name is Jordie and recently my Aunty Robbie has yet again been diagnosed with cancer in her lymph nodes.
Aunty Robbies journey started in 1993 just before her 40th birthday. A lump was found in her right breast resulting in a lumpectomy followed a couple of days later by a full mastecomy. Her two boys were just 18months and 6 years old.
In 1996 lumps were found under Aunty Robbie's right arm, she had several lymph nodes removed, 6 weeks radiation, high dose chemotherapy, followed by a stem cell transplant.
Life was going along nicely for Aunty Robbie, she was raising and watching her boys grow into young men. Aunty Robbie was clear for 15 years, when in 2011 a CT scan revealed a large mass in her chest and lung biopsy revealed more cancer and Aunty Robbie indured another 6 weeks of radiation.

In 2013 my Uncle Brian, Aunty Robbies husband was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis a disease with no cure.
My Uncle Brian went on a transplant waiting list and In 2014 recieved a double lung transplant, he was one of the oldest double lung transplant recipiants. Our joy was short lived when a PET scan in 2015 revealed 3 more cancer spots and then in 2016 spots on my Aunties liver.
Microwave ablation was performed but 5 months later new liver spots were discovered, Aunty Robbie was put on a drug that caused severe side effects resulting in several stays in hosptial, the drug was stopped and Y-90 radiation treatment was performed on the liver.
This year in January Aunty Robbies liver results were clear but new spots have been found in the lymph nodes and bones.
Oral Chemo tablets were started but hospitalised a couple of times due to the severe side effects.
Life hasnt been easy and since the transplant, Uncle Brian hasnt been able to return to work so their resources have been stretched and time spent in hospital for Aunty Robbie due to the severe side effects and fighting cancer means no income and creates a great deal of stress.
Your generosity will go towards helping Aunty Robbie financially. Aunty Robbie is very determined to continue working as a teachers aid but my fear is that with the treatment she will have to under go she may become to sick to work and does not have any paid leave.
Helping Aunty Robbie with a GoFundMe is my way of trying to make her life just that little bit easier. She has always been there for me, family is everything to Aunty Robbie and she is everything to me.
My sister Abbey, my two cousins Andy and Emily, Aunty Robbie's sons Jake and Luke and myself thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any donation no matter how much every cent will be appreciated greatly. xxx
