Christina Atwood Medical Fund

Christina and Matt are the kind of people that have always given the shirt off their back to those in need! Now they are in need of help. On April 19th, 2015 Christina was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident. While on a scenic ride with her husband Matt, Christina's tire on her motorcycle blew out which caused her to miss the corner and forced her into the other lane hitting the guardrail head on at 50 mph. She was thrown a good distance and by the grace of God landed 4 feet from a 400 foot cliff. By the time Matt was able to get to Christina, she was in shock. Not knowing the extent of her injuries, Christina was trying to stand up but her leg was twisted completely backwards and her breast was ripped 3/4 of the way off, from a bolt on the guard rail. Christina was flown to Harborview Medical Center, where she under went serveral surgeries to repair her leg and breast. While at the hospital they found out that Christina had more injuries than expected. Christina also had a punctured lung, a ripped liver, and broken ribs. Christina's husband Matt, a cancer survior himself is still recieving chemo treatments every 6 weeks. Matt has not been able to take any time off work to help care for his wonderful wife and young daughter because they cannot afford to, due to the overwhelming medical bills coming in. Christina, a manager of large company, has no sick or vacation pay available to help out with this situation.
