My name is Shane and this is my story...
I was airlifted to Seattle from Alaska after being diagnosed with a severe throat infection. The infection spread very rapidly causing my tonsils to swell. They were so inflammed that it was blocking my windpipe making it extremely difficult for me to eat, drink and even breathe. The doctors conducted multiple tests, even a cat scan. I was rushed into emergency surgery to have my tonsils removed and to stop the spread of the Infection. I've suffered two seizures as a result of my dilemma, lengthening my stay in the hospital and amassing even more debt. I'v had a tube placed directly into my lungs so that I can be able to breathe. For days I've been unable to eat anything and has sinced lost a significant amount of weight. Apple sauce is all I've been able to eat without vomiting. The doctors told me I'm very lucky to have made it to the hospital when I did, if I would have waited any longer, I may have not been alive. I'm unable to speak, walk, and unable to sleep in any other positions except one. It has been a very uncomfortable and trying time in my life. This has been the worst part of my life, the worst feeling I've ever felt. I'm in a strange place, in a medical emergency, away from all my friends and family. I'm asking for your support throughout this difficult time, please share my story and donate if you can. It is greatly appreciated.
Thank You...
