Assist the Matviichucks in Rebuilding Their Lives

I am Andy York and represent Living Hope Church.

The war in Ukraine has abruptly forced families to leave their homes and seek refuge here in The United States. Many of us have been asking, “What can I do to help?” Our community has begun welcoming a devoted, gallant, resilient family of four into a Glenville neighborhood. The Matviichuks entered the Burnt Hills Ballston Lake community on 5/25/2022. They are a Ukrainian refugee family that fled their home under a Russian bombing attack. They are a source of inspiration to all who meet them. Their journey to the United States is nothing short of a miracle.

This family of four, Artem and Myla, Stiven (10) and Eldar (5), escaped to Poland and Europe, where they were offered passage to the United States by a former acquaintance. Once they entered the United States, they sought assistance from humanitarian relief organizations, as they have no family here in the US or sponsor. They moved seven times before arriving in Burnt Hills, NY. Due to their current immigration status and the lengthy government processing times for official work authorization, they have limited resources and need your assistance.

Artem and Myla are grateful to God and their new American neighbors for the kind help and assistance that they have already received. They are looking forward to helping their children flourish in school. Stiven has already proven to be a shining light, and Eldar, who has special needs, will finally be in a place where he can start his education.

The Matviichuks need a residence to rent, a car, and all the material objects necessary to rebuild their lives. Your financial contributions will assist the family in paying for essential legal and immigration fees and help temporarily cover the cost of rent, transportation, and basic needs while, they work to become more self-reliant. Additionally, it could present Artem with the chance to re-establish his business when the time comes, so he can once again support his family and serve others, as he has done in the past.

This loving family left every aspect of their lives behind and is beginning to rebuild. Thank you for your help and generosity and for welcoming this family to our community and country.
