I never thought I’d be writing something like this, but here I am.

Life has knocked me down hard, and I have been unsuccessful in finding work since being laid off in April. I’ve reached a point where I can’t cover the basics—rent, utilities, car insurance, and registration. We have also been struggling with some health concerns for Ash, so my spare time has been making appointments and getting him to doctors to address them. I’ve been doing everything I can to rebuild and move forward, but right now, it’s just not enough. Late fees are adding up on top of unpaid bills, and I am just mentally at the end of my rope. I have applied to every place I can think of, including Walmart.

I’m asking for help, even though it’s the hardest thing to do. If you’re able to contribute or even just share, it would mean more than I can say. Every bit helps me keep the lights on, put food on the table, and catch my breath so I can keep going.

Thursday marks my one-year mark of being sober, and I am trying to get my life on track, and this has just really thrown me for a loop, as I am not recovering despite my best hustles.
