Hold hands with us. YOU Don’t KNOW us BUT WE ARE ALL ONE! ❤️
First and foremost, we want to extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt apologies to the families of Jaydin Lewis and Kimberly Pastor. We are devastated by the senseless violence that took two young lives and forever changed so many others.
The families are holding their own fundraisers and have asked us not to include them in ours. We deeply respect their wishes and will still support them in their recovery.

Our fundraiser is focused on helping Artist Lounge, our staff, artists, students, and community recover as we work to rebuild trust, heal, and strengthen our space.
This is an incredibly difficult task, and we cannot do it alone.
Our hope is that Artist Lounge can become a place where the spirits and memories of Jaydin and Kimberly live on—a place that honors their lives by advocating for the safety of our youth, mental health awareness, creative expression, and a stronger community throughout the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles County!
As we process and grieve, we also have to continue living our everyday lives. In time, we hope to alchemize this unimaginable pain into something meaningful and worthy of their memory—something positive that can help prevent another family from experiencing this kind of loss.
THE NIGHT OF THE TRAGEDY
The event that night was intended to be a music and artist promotional event—a diverse group of young people from different backgrounds and communities coming together to enjoy music, support artists, and have a good time.
This was aligned with our mission: to give young, emerging artists a platform to share their creative work.
Jaydin and Kimberly deserved to go home safely.
They deserved a future.
What happened was a devastating act of violence. Regardless of the circumstances or motive, it is a cry for help and reminds us that there is an urgent need to address mental health, violence, and the way young people can get help before a crisis becomes a tragedy.
The promotion company is responsible for the safety of their guests, hired security and licensed vendors. We also recognize that there were shortcomings in security, and we are deeply committed to learning from this tragedy, taking responsibility for what we can, and doing everything possible to rebuild the trust of our community.
WHAT CAN WE DO NOW?
Artist Lounge was created as a home for art, music, creativity, and community. We believe everyone is an artist—regardless of age, race, gender, or background.
We want this tragedy to become a turning point.
We want to honor Jaydin and Kimberly by becoming stronger advocates for mental health support with the arts, youth programs, creative expression, safety, and community connection.
These are ALL examples of what Artist Lounge is about and we must allow this tragedy to force us to speak up louder and be heard!
Although we are registered as a small for profit business we want to do non profit work and ask our community for help.
Will you stand with us?
Our young people need places where they can express themselves freely, feel supported, safe, find belonging, and know that their lives matter.
We are asking our community to stand with us.
Not only to help Artist Lounge recover, but to help our entire community heal.
Together, we can create spaces where people feel heard before they reach a crisis.
Together, we can show that peace is possible through art, creativity, compassion, and unity.
