Art program for Bali kids with disabilities
Donation protected
YPK Foundation is a non-profit organization providing rehabilitation for Balinese children living with disabilities who are unable to access formal health care. Children at YPK receive physiotherapy as well as psychological and emotional support free of charge.
My name is Finn Cody and over the last year, for my Greenstone project, I have been teaching art to children living with disabilities at at the foundation. Art is my passion and having lived on the island of Bali since I was 5 years old, sharing this passion with children who do not have access to the opportunities I have is a lasting footprint I wanted to leave behind in my final year of high school.
YPK had no formal art program when I arrived. Over the last year, I have curated and taught a new art lesson for the children each week. To ensure sustainability beyond this year, I have included other YPK teachers in the lessons and I am developing an art curriculum to transition to the YPK staff along with art supplies for each lesson to carry on after I graduate. Funds will go towards art supplies for the foundation and lesson plans.
Please consider contributing to this project to ensure these remarkable children living with disabilities in Bali can continue their art journey and all of the benefits it brings.
