The Living Mural - Art, Nature & Community

Donation protected
I don’t believe beautiful landscaping and vibrant art should be reserved for the ultra-rich. Access to beauty, creativity, and inspiring spaces should belong to everyone. That belief—and a deep personal passion—led us to create the Living Mural Project in Fort Portal, Uganda.

This project turns a simple wall into a traffic-stopping Destination, blending art, greenery, seating, and community energy into something entirely new for the region. What makes it truly special, however, is the collective behind it — a growing network of community-based nonprofits, community-focused private companies, artists, and local residents who will activate, care for, and evolve the space together.

As the space grows, it will host pop-ups, meetings, cultural moments, and creative exchanges — while also serving as a powerful landmark that attracts visitors and empowers Fort Portal’s creative spirit. Consider the impact and the number of people who will experience this artwork, whether through daily foot traffic, tourism, or social media shared around the world.

Led by Evan Santi, an award-winning landscape designer, and featuring the artistry of Kampala-based Alexx Page and Dr Sam Martin of Oxford University, our team brings global experience and local passion to the table.

Why Your Support Matters

Your donation will:
• Fund local materials and labor: Every dollar supports Ugandan artists, craftspeople, and workers.
Create a community hub: The mural will be a landmark for gatherings, cultural events, and daily inspiration.
Empower a collective: This project is powered by local nonprofits, private companies, artists, and residents—building something that belongs to everyone.
• Leave a lasting legacy: The Living Mural will attract visitors, boost local pride, and inspire future creative projects.
100% of your donation goes directly to the project. You’re not just giving money—you’re helping build a sustainable, shared space that will thrive for years to come.
