Support for Arne Colwell & Carolina Johnson Family

Donation protected
Hi Friends and Family,

My name is Annette Walker and I am friends with Carolina and Arne's daughter, Stefania Contreras and have adopted her parents as part of my tribe! I have known the family since 2011 and over the years I have seen this family give so much to so many people over the years. Money, food, shelter and more. If you know them personally you know this fact. I decided to this fundraising for them because it is time that their good karma comes back around when they are now in need, and I would like to start the domino effect for this.

I am sure you have all had a personal experience with the demon called, "Cancer". I personally have lost many people I love from this terrible disease, most hurtful was the loss of my father when I was 27 years old.

The many impacts of a family member trying to survive this disease is a never-ending battle of appointments, treatments, side effects to manage, diet changes, and more. Arne is a fighter and let's help him keep fighting.

I will post his progress and updates to the help that is needed as well as how your help is impacting them.
Please join me in giving this family some help so that they can reduce the financial impact of medical & living expenses that have increased during this last year.

Here is their story:

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers, love, generosity, and support. I am caring for the love of my life who is so sick right now. Those of you that know him – know him as Papa Arne. He is a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is generous with his time, kind, and giving in every way that he can. He is our rock.

Arne was in the hospital with pneumonia for 6 weeks in March 2023. While performing a procedure and testing the doctors found he also had lymphoma. When he was strong enough - doctors began chemo treatment, which required long stays, in the hospital for many months. By Christmas the cancer was 99% gone, and he was able to see family for the first time in almost a year. However, remission was short lived, and in January 2024 the cancer was back in his bone marrow – and more aggressive this time. The pneumonia was back too. The doctor said the chances of remission were low, maybe 20%.
Arne is a spiritual person and positive person who works hard to get what he needs. He is a fighter and so he opted to go through chemo again. It has been a rough new year for him, with many blood transfusions and weakness from chemo. The cancer is aggressive and so is the treatment. Gladly, by February 29th is bone marrow test showed the cancer is 50% gone and good cells are being rebuilt. Miracles happen – every day.

Anyone who has cared for a loved one knows the sense of helplessness one feels, sadness, anxiety, and fear – waiting for the other shoe to drop. It is like holding your breath.

The Avalanche of Medial Bills.

The medical bills are mounting, along with the expense of daily trips to the cancer center. All of this has put us in the uncomfortable position of swallowing our pride and asking for your help financially. We are doing our best to keep our heads above water, stay in our home, and pay our bills.

Thank you for reading our story; many, many thanks if you can help.
