Hello, my name is Laquita. I am a mother of 4, divorced, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support for me and my kids who are facing a difficult chapter in our life. There is no doubt that I love my children, and i am doing everything in my power to provide for them, even in the face of challenges.

Recently, life has thrown some unexpected obstacles our way. After a unexpected car loss I had been struggling to make ends meet while continuing to be the rock to my children.

We have little no no funds in our accounts , yet I’m doing everything i can to provide a loving, stable, and caring home. However, the weight of financial strain is becoming too much to bear alone. Im finding it harder to remain resilient and show strength in the face of eviction and fear of loosing everything Ive worked so hard for.

The rent, utilities, groceries, and other expenses and necessities, are impossible to pay being that I’m only making $18.50 and hr and paid every two weeks. The rent is $1745 and the lights are in shut off status. I’m behind on the rent $2000 with late fees and I’m still paying Lyft fees for my daughters to get around safely and without worry while I work.

I’ve gone to churches and other outreach in my area and being that there is so much need I keep hitting brick walls. I’m constantly stressed and experiencing health issues behind all the stress and can’t afford to have a stroke becoming who is gonna maintain my home and care for my children . My ex husband has a new family and isn’t paying the very small amount of child support that was ordered five years ago. I am simply falling apart and trying to keep a brave face, so that my kids won’t stress.
