In Memory of Arian W Kohler

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Lesly Nodarse-Rivas, one of Arian's best friends.

On behalf of The Hannon, Kohler, & Mercado family, I would like to thank everyone who has sent their condolences. In addition, the family has received countless phone calls, texts, visits, and prayers which have been comforting during this difficult time and have been a reminder of the impact Arian had on so many others.

Arian Walker Kohler, 28, of East Stroudsburg, passed away at home on Friday, February 18, 2022.

He was a proud father, husband, son, uncle, brother, grandson, Marine Corps veteran, and friend. He was born to Becky Hannon and Bill Kohler in Hanover, PA, on May 16, 1993. He was the second youngest among four siblings including Alexandria, Kayla, and Ayden. He was also the loving husband to his wife, Jasmin Mercado and adoring father to their daughter Mila Lou Kohler. Arian dedicated everything he did to the betterment and growth of his family. Mila was the center of his world. They loved riding around together on their side-by-side. He also loved teaching her new things, from riding a bike to using power tools and everything in between. He enjoyed traveling with his family and beloved dog, Jameson.

Everywhere Arian went, he knew someone. He was very well known and loved within the community. He had the ability to light up any room with his positive attitude and big smile. And his heart, he had the biggest heart. He had a special way of connecting with anyone he encountered. Because of all these reasons, he received an overwhelming amount of support during one of the toughest times in his life.

In 2018, Arian suffered an accident that changed the rest of his life. Using the love for his girls as his driving force, he faced the loss of his leg with strength, dignity, and resilience. Arian didn’t believe in limitations. So much so that in 2018, he started his own business called A&H Contracting, where he did remodeling work on many homes.

If I had to choose one word to describe Arian, it would be selfless. I say this because after his accident, he immediately wanted to return the same amount of love and support he had received from the community. Some ways he did this was by partnering with ParaPerformance, talking to kids at the local high school, and volunteering to fix up the John Konawalik Little League field. In between all of that, he managed to inspire and impact the lives of many others through his motivational approach.

I have started this GoFundMe account in response to the many donation requests received by Arian's wife, Jasmin Mercado and Arian's mother, Becky Hannon. Jasmin and Becky are currently in the process of starting a college fund for Arian and Jasmin's 4-year-old daughter, Mila. However, it is taking longer than expected. While we wait for the process to be completed, donations can be made here or via check made out to Jasmin Mercado or Becky Hannon, which will be deposited to the college fund.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 23, at 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home 401 North 5th Street Stroudsburg, PA. In place of flowers, donations may be made to Mila Lou Kohler College Fund.

Your resilience and positive outlook on life made you instantly loved by anyone you encountered. You made your mark on all of us, Arian and we are forever grateful for the memories you gave us. We love you.

Any donation, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated.
