Hello I would like to tell you a little about my son. Jorge. He is a 8 year old very happy and super lovin child, he loves going to school, playing with his brother, going to the beach, going fishing and many other things.
He is a boy who loves being with his family. Out of nowhere one day he told me: "Dad, my vision went away for a few seconds" that set off our alarms and we ran to an ophthalmologist, he found everything fine and we went to his pediatrician to have him checked. He sent him for blood tests and a CT scan of his head. That's when the nightmare begins, when the result arrived. My child has a 3 cm cyst on his brain. Due to the result, they sent him for an MRI to see better details. According to the characteristics, everything indicates that it is a benign cyst,thank God. But if they perform the surgery they would have to send the cyst to be studied with a biopsy.
The problem is that it already causes symptoms such as loss of vision for seconds, blurred vision, headaches etc... and it already has a finding in electrical waves in the electroencephalogram due to the same cyst. The solution is to perform brain surgery. Due to the growth of the cyst, it can cause hydrocephalus and complicate things. We already went to many neurologists and neurosurgeons looking for answers and opinions until we found the right doctor. A pediatric neurosurgeon with a lot of experience and many surgeries performed on children. We already had the last appointment with him Due to the symptoms that are:
-lost sight for seconds.
-blurry vision.
- Coordination test showed an altered result (in a test of touching the nose and the fingertip, he missed the mark and failed when trying to touch the tip of the finger)
- test of following objects with his eyes, when he remained static his eyes moved little).
We have to keep a diary of the symptoms to know if they get worse and the warning signs. . I'll give you what the latest study says:

Findings suggestive of pineal gland cyst with a volume of 8.5cc conditioning mass effect on the quadrigeminal plate with stenosis of the Sylvian aqueduct and without ventriculomegaly. I suggest monitoring according to the clinical context....
We have to be vigilant for the symptoms. That is why we come for help, to be able to solve the enormous expenses that are coming.
