I literally have no hope and no idea what to do..

Hi, I'm Antony and to say my life has taken a turn for the worst over the past couple of weeks is an understatement.

I was made redundant in May from my job of 2.5years, whilst at the same time got over by my migration agent that I am unable to find full time work due to being on a medical treatment visa. My redundancy pay was able to cover certain living expenses, and in July my tax agents put together my eofy tax return, giving me an estimate of over $7.5k which would have covered my rent, living expenses etc; for a few months.

However, my refund was flagged by the ATO, who then made an adjustment... well... had corrected a MAJOR mistake in my return, and this refund of $7.5k was now showing as owing $258... the whole amount had not only been flipped but also now showing as me owing.

On top of this, I've had to come to the UK to see my family, whom I've not seen in 7 years. this money was supposed to help cover this trip, but I'm now stuck in the UK with $0 in my account. This has also resulted in major relationship issues and as of yesterday, I'm no longer in contact with them.

Oh to add insult to injury, because I've been waiting 4 weeks for this return to come through, I've not been able to pay my rent... equating in rent owing more than $3000... with the threat of eviction if I don't pay something this Wednesday.

I have an 8-month-old puppy who's being looked after by a friend, But I can't do anything whilst here and I've nowhere to turn. I've even tried to access my super for an early release under either medical or compassionate grounds, but unfortunately I don't qualify for either.

What was meant to be an emotional and positive time of my life, has got me depressed and my mental state is deteriorating.

The funds raised will go towards paying my rent, gas/electricity bills, getting home, and being able to support life whilst I'm on this medical visa.

*UPDATE - I've been given until Aug 22 to raise the money to cover my rent back in Sydney, otherwise I'll end up being evicted. I can't get back to Sydney until 13 Sept, and I've paid off $550 so far - which was from the money I've got from here so far and what I had left in my account.
