Hi Family and Friends,
I never thought in a million years I would ever do this, start a GoFundMe page. To be honest with you, I'm embarrassed for even asking but Antonio has been giving an amazing opportunity and as his mother I want to try everything I can to make sure it happens. As many of you know Antonio loves to play soccer. His dream is to able to play soccer in college and if possible, beyond that. Last week, Antonio was invited to practice and try out for the Strikers FC- SouthBay Soccer Club. I let him knowing that if he made it the cost would most likely be high. I was secretly hoping he wouldn't love it or wouldn't get in, but he did and was invited to play for them on the spot. OMG, what do I do??? Antonio knows that there is possibility that he may have to give up on this opportunity which breaks my heart. So before we give up, I started looking at options like sponsorship/fund raising opportunities and a patient/friend suggested I try GoFundMe. I let Antonio know about it and he wanted to write a letter. Please read his letter below, he's really excited about this opportunity.

Hello, my name is Antonio Ponce. I am 12 years old and I have been accepted to play for Strikers FC- SouthBay Soccer Club. However the admission price is a little to high for my family to afford so we have created this to try to get donations towards the admission price. If you could spare a couple dollars that would really help me reach my goal. Soccer is my passion and getting enough money to get on this team would be awesome. I appreciate anything you can donate.
