Help Anthony with Hospital & Recovery

Hello! My name is Natalie and my husband is Anthony, and Anthony is the reason we are raising funds.. Anthony has had a rough couple of months with a few tooth issues, with the most recent the tooth issue (infected tooth extraction)is the spark of the journey. The dentist started him on antibiotics & then within 24 hours Anthony’s legs where he has had previous cellulitis, flared up ,with Red, Swollen and tender legs with a previous injury that was healing now was oozing. We immediately went to the ER and after waiting 2.5 hours we got triaged and he was immediately admitted for IV broadspectrum antibiotics & pain control. After he moved from seat to bed to seat to bed to bed he was agitated & his chest got tight because his anxiety was through the roof & he was in 10/10 pain- walking, once he settled down they gave him pain medicine & he went to sleep, when he sleeps at home he uses a oxygen machine @ 3 ltrs; so they put him on a nasal cannula & and then when they got him to his room they provided a bipap for him so he could sleep with a machine. Within hours his carbon dioxide went to 100 and his o2 level dropped to 44% while on bipap.. When they couldn’t wake him they intubated and administered meds to counteract the carbon dioxide. They moved him to ICU & put him on a ventilator. He then had trouble with his kidneys and his IVs kept going bad. So they did an arterial blood flow line and a PICC line to administer all meds and keep his veins from further damage. His potassium was very high and they put him on more meds to reduce that, and help lower his carbon dioxide. His team of doctors include: Hospitalist, Critical Care, Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy & Amazing ICU Nurses.. He was septic, has Pnemonia now, is on a ventilator & his kidneys have slightly reduced function & they are trying to determine if the Infection has reached his heart. The doctors have been very honest with me & said he will need a few weeks of recovery off work with what his body has been through & us not knowing what rehab he might need, we are asking for help.. His stay so far in the ICU is over $300,000. We have insurance but it’s the beginning of the year and they are demanding our deductible plus out of pocket maximum of $4600. He will also lose 3-4 weeks of pay with time needed to recover. However, we hope he will qualify for disability, but at the point we do not know.
