Help Ansley Usher Follow Her Band Dreams!!

Hi! I’m Ansley and I’m in the Daphne high School Band/Percussion Ensemble. I recently auditioned for the esteemed Southwind Drum & Bugle Corps & I am extremely excited to announce that they have contracted me to play in their Summer Tour up & down the East Coast!

I will be attending monthly camps in Alabama leading up to the summer tour to prepare for this amazing opportunity. I will gain a tremendous amount of experience & really grow as a percussionist (specifically a marimba player.) The summer program will cost about $4,000 (which is including meal/spending money & supplies,) but it is worth every penny. It will be an invaluable trip and I will make memories that will last a liftetime, while also greatly improving my chances for a college scholarship.  

Band is my absolute favorite. It’s something I can do to just relieve stress and it’s the area where I feel the most comfortable. I put all my effort (besides school work) into band. I love traveling for the competitions, learning new music to work hard on, and meeting new people who love music as much as I do. The Daphne High School Band is the best band I could ever ask to be part of. I moved to Daphne my freshman year (I’m now a junior) and I’ve grown so much as a percussionist.

I know times are tough for everyone. I would be so grateful for even a $5 donation, a little goes a long way! It’s my absolute favorite thing to do, it’s where I’ve made my closest friend and I don’t know where I would be without it. Thank you if you read though all that.
