I’m reaching out today to rally support for our dear friend, Annie, who recently endured a traumatic incident. Two nights ago Annie slipped down the stairs and suffered fractures in four vertebrae, leaving her facing a challenging road to recovery. She’s broken her back in a foreign country and is fortunate that the emergency services were free of charge but her admission to the hospital and recovery is not covered.
Annie is a resilient and positive individual who has always been there for others in their times of need. Now, it's our turn to come together and offer her the support she deserves. The journey to healing is not only physically demanding but also places emotional and financial burdens on Annie.
If you know Annie at all, you know she would do absolutely anything for her friends and family. She’s always the first person there when anybody needs anything and we want to help support her in anyway possible.
Your generous contributions will go towards covering Annie's medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and other associated bills during her recovery period. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant impact on easing the financial strain that accompanies such unexpected events.
Let's show Annie that she is not alone on this difficult journey. Your support will not only help alleviate the immediate financial stress but will also provide the emotional strength she needs to face the challenges ahead.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and generosity. Together, we can make a difference in Annie's life and contribute to her full recovery.
Update on Annie’s Recovery: Jan 2, 2023
Thank you for standing by Annie during this challenging time. I want to share an update on her recovery journey. Annie has been enduring significant pain, relying on strong painkillers, and navigating a sensitive state of mind. The GoFundMe campaign will persist to aid her throughout this process.
Currently, She’s now getting better care at the hospital she’s currently in. The doctor, after a recent meeting, conveyed that she won't be able to walk for the next two weeks, and even then, it will be a gradual process. Due to her condition, the doctor recommends her continued stay in the UK or Europe, discouraging a long flight home where she cannot sit comfortably.
Anticipating an extended recovery period of up to two months with physical therapy, we're exploring long-term care options in the UK/Europe. Your ongoing support is crucial as medical expenses, unfortunately not covered by travel insurance, are expected to be substantial.
Thank you for your unwavering support during this challenging time!
With heartfelt gratitude,
Kira
