If you know Brittney and Andy, you know they are incredible people. It is our time to show them our love and support!

Andy has been experiencing intermittent headaches since January and they have become pretty persistent since June. In October, Andy started having more severe consistent headaches that lasted all day and night which started affecting his everyday life and eventually landed him in the ER. After multiple ER visits, CT scans, and MRI's, he was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus (which is fluid build-up in the brain and is typically not common in young adults) and was also diagnosed with Papilledema (which is optic nerve swelling caused by the intracranial pressure). After months of waiting, Andy was finally able to meet with the head of neurosurgery and ended up getting admitted that same day of the consultation and went into surgery the next day on Thursday, December 11th to place an ETV (Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomy- it creates a new CSF pathway to bypass blockages, avoiding hardware). While performing the surgery, the doctors found 2 tumors (still awaiting pathology results) and while they were getting a biopsy of those tumors, unexpected bleeding occurred and the doctors had to quickly repair, and stop the surgery. Due to the complications of the surgery and where the tumors are located, his doctor decided that an ETV was no longer an option and that his only option now is to place a shunt, which they cannot do until all the blood that is draining around his brain is cleared up.

Andy is slowly recovering but is awaiting another surgery to place the shunt. Afterwards, he will need to do treatment to shrink the tumors as it is unfortunately non-operable.

Andy is currently in the Neuro Surgical ICU at UC Davis Medical Center and is expected to be there for a couple of weeks. With Brittney being due with their baby boy in January, they are both off of work for the unforeseeable future and unexpected medical bills are quickly stacking up.

With all of his medical expenses, the cost of gas for Brittney driving back and forth from Stockton to Sacramento, hospital parking fees, nearby lodging, and food, if you could contribute any amount, they would be forever grateful.

Above all else, PLEASE pray for Andy, Brittney, little Andy and their baby as they navigate through this difficult time.

And lastly, because Andy & Brittney are in the ICU currently, they kindly request no phone calls or texts at this time.
