Andreea B. Roman's Recovery Fund
Donation protected

Andreea Beatrice Roman is turning 22 this Thursday. Sadly, her birthday will be celebrated in a hospital room in Delaware rather than at a party on the beach in Rehoboth or in a NYC nightclub where most likely, Andreea would have danced the night away.
Instead, our delightful, bright and beautiful friend from Romania will be recovering from the 3rd brain surgery she has had in 2.5 weeks.
Andreea traveled to the United States to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware this summer to participate in the Department of State's J-1 Summer Work Travel exchange program. On August 21, 2014 Andreea was in an accident biking home from her job at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club and is in critical condition at Christiana Care Hospital.

With a limited emergency travel insurance plan covering barely the first hospital bills and the air lift to Christiana Care, the remaining expenses are steadily climbing. Andreea's road to recovery will be long and difficult, but she is showing her strength and resilience daily.
The "22" of Project 22 is a suggested donation since this week she celebrates her 22nd birthday. It could also be $2 or $200. Any amount, no matter the size is of value and is greatly appreciated by her aunt who is here from Romania and at her bedside, her employer, friends and program sponsor that visit her daily.
Project 22 is also a conversation about bike safety and the importance of wearing a helmet. You could ride a bike hundreds of times with no accident or need for a helmet, but all it takes is once to change your life forever.
Please help us wish Andreea a Happy Birthday this week - We are celebrating her life and our hope for her future!
Thank you
