Support for Andre Gladen Family Travel to PDX

Andre Gladen, a 36-year-old Black man who suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and was legally blind, was shot and killed by a Portland police officer on 1/6/2019 who used excessive force on a person with mental health and physical disabilities. Andre was tased multiple times, followed by 3 shots - 2 of 3 hit directly in each lung, (KILL SHOTS). Andre was the latest in a long list of mentally disabled people killed by police, and specifically Portland police, who failed to use de-escalation techniques in a violent encounter.
15 members of Andre's family from CA will join his family in Portland and the community for a solidarity rally and memorial on the 3-month anniversary that Andre was killed by police. New information is coming out all the time. We want to keep the momentum going and keep the pressure and eyes of the press on the city regarding Andre's case.
Donations are needed for house rental, food, gas, and event needs (ASL interpretation and food).
