Hi, my name is Amy Daines and I am self funding a trip to Tanzania with my school in August 2026.

We will be supporting the local communities with projects to help improve the housing and welfare of local villages. Projects such as building schools, constructing and renovating community buildings or installing vital water storage systems, and sanitation systems improving healthcare.

This is an opportunity to not only meet the people that live there and learn about their culture but also experience living in the local area and seeing the wildlife, sharing the problems faced day to day they we take for granted in the UK and be a active part in helping to achieve goals set by the United Nations related to Sustainable Development.

The total cost of the trip is over £5000 and I am doing a number of things to raise money myself to pay for this trip. I will be baking cakes to sell to friends, family and my parents work colleagues, and with my parents, we are spending weekends washing cars in my local area. Throughout this year we have planned small events such as race nights, quiz nights and afternoon teas. I like to crochet and have been making hand made crocheted animals that I am selling.

Your donations will go towards helping me with my fund raising and achieving my goal to pay for this trip myself.
