My Summer Abroad trip to Tanzania!

Hello my name is Aminata, I'm 16 years old and I am currently a Junior at Gary Comer College Preparatory in Chicago, Illinois. Just recently, I was accepted to the Global Navigator Scholarship for the 2018 CIEE  Global Navigator  program. CIEE is the Council for International Eduactional Exhange. I will be studying abroad in Iringa, Tanzania for three weeks in the summer of 2018 to empower girls through sports.  I was awarded this scholarship based on academic merit and need. For the past two years of highschool, I have earned straight A's on my report card. I have also been involved in student council, Stem Honors, the Debate Team, and have participated in many more academic related clubs and activities. 

 I express much gratitude to CIEE (the Council on International Educational Exchange) for offering me this amazing opportunity. As a highschooler, traveling outside of the country will make a tremendous impact on me and the young girls I meet.

While this scholarship covered 100% of the programs fee, I still need to cover the cost of round-trip airfair, and vaccines by March 15th of 2018. It would mean so much to me if you could donate and help me on my Journey to Tanzania!
