Assalamualaikum,
The reason this campaign was started is to support Al Madina Islamic Center. We are a small community of muslims looking to save and continue our masjid.
Funding is very low and are in need of help for day to day operations.
We are a Ahle Sunnah wal Jamaath who adhere to the teachings of Allah and Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. of peace, love, and tolerance.
In Islam all good deeds are more handsomely rewarded by Allah SWT. In addition, many will also use this time to give a larger portion of sadaqa in order to maximize the reward that will await them on the Day of Judgment.
Charity and fasting are a stronger and more effective barrier that will keep the person away from the Fire. As for fasting, the Prophet had said, “Fasting is a shield and protection from Hellfire” [Ahmad].
He also said regarding charity, “Charity extinguishes the sin just as water extinguishes the fire. The man’s prayer late at night has the same effect.”
The messenger of Allah -peace and prayer of Allah be upon him- told about the 7 groups of people who will get shade on the day where there are no shade but from Allah, that is the Last Day. One of the groups is:
رجل تصدق بصدقة فأخفاها، حتى لا تعلم شماله ما تنفق يمينه
“a man who gives charitable gifts so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given.” (Narrated by. Bukhari in hadith no. 1421)
The messenger of Allah -peace and prayer of Allah be upon him- said:
ما نقصت صدقة من مال وما زاد الله عبدا بعفو إلا عزا
“Wealth will not be decreased by giving by giving charity. And a forgiving slave must be rewarded by Allah with authority.” (Narrated by Muslim, no. 2588)
We offer 5 times a prayer and open to anyone, we also do Taraweeh and Eid prayers.
