Hello Everyone,
It is to bring to your kind notice that my close friend Ambrish Rajagopal has been battling Liver Cancer “Hepatocellular carcinoma" for over a year now. To describe Ambrish in a nutshell, he is a young and energetic 31 year-old, married for just over a year now.
I have known Ambrish for over 7 years as a happy go lucky guy who always used to spread cheer and joy wherever he went.
Ambrish has undergone Chemotherapy for almost 8 months to a year. After this ordeal, he is waiting to cross another milestone in this wildest of journeys, the SURGERY! He has been advised Liver Transplant to ensure the cancer cells do not recur and to bring his life back to safety. He has no other medical conditions and above all, no family history of cancer.
He is standing firm and facing all that is coming his way with courage and steadfastness. Even the medical oncologists were surprised to see him reacting so positively to chemotherapy.
His faith in God and support from family and friends has kept him going till now!
Dr. Basant Mahadevappa, (Transplant Specialist and Gastroenterologist at the Healthcare Global, India) is the surgeon who will be conducting the procedure. This 8 to 12 hour surgery is considered so complex, that very few in the nation is equipped to do it.
The living donor has been identified but the family is still short of funding the operation.
Initially, the operation was decided to be performed on the 17th of August 2015, but it has been delayed. He has been trying all possible ways to fund the transplant and has very little time to reach the target amount and complete the formalities.
And here at this point in his journey, I am personally seeking your kind favor to help him with the medical expenses for the surgery and the 3- 4 weeks of post-surgery recovery at the hospital.
I have attached documents as proof of illness and letter from the Surgeon.
Please include him in your prayers to give him strength to get through these tough times. He is a very good human being at heart and very much deserves to live a long and fruitful life.
