It has been nearly 4 weeks since Amber left this world as we have come to know it. It has been a difficult period for everyone who knew her, was inspired by her, and was fortunate enough to call her their friend. I know that many of you care deeply for Amber and have questions about what is next for her family. I hope to be able to give many of you peace of mind alongside more information on their immediate and long term needs.
Over the past few weeks, Amber's husband and children have had to confront the loss of their wife and mother in a staggeringly harsh environment. Due to a variety of factors, a proper celebration of Amber's life has not been possible. It has been hard for many to find closure without being able to gather, and many of us are looking for a way to memorialize her legacy on our own. I encourage each of you searching to find a meaningful way to honor her to write a song, go on a bike ride, spend an afternoon at the beach, adopt a kitten, start planning your spring garden, any of these are all things that she loved. But most importantly, we can continue to support her husband Giuliano and children Nickolas, Akasha, Lucrezia, and Iris.
This past November, Giuliano was granted legal guardianship of Amber's two twin boys, something that Amber had hoped and dreamed of for years. This gift will allow the four children to stay together and remain a family. With so much uncertainty here in the United States, Giuliano and Amber had already begun planning to move to Giuliano's hometown of Mexico City where his extended family awaited their arrival. Mexico City holds an abundance of family, opportunity, and beauty to help Giuliano and the children properly grieve and when they are ready, begin to heal. One of Amber's final wishes was to be cremated and make the journey to their new home with them. Besides caring for four beautiful kids during a pandemic, Giuliano has had to make all the preparations necessary to safely and swiftly relocate the family and their belongings. Amber was an avid art lover and over the years has many pieces and mementos that have come to represent the different stages of her life. It is essential that Giuliano can take with them the beautiful items that Amber loved for her children to remember her by. The best way to do so is to rent a vehicle and trailer to transport these items and the rest of their belongings to their new home.
Please join me in making sure that Amber's final wishes become a reality and that her beautiful family can make this difficult transition surrounded by love and peace.
