Amber is fighting Colon Cancer

Hi all,

We hope life has been treating you well. My name is Karina, I am Amber's God sister and have known her all my life. Our mom's were best friends from 4th grade on. To help ease responsibilities and such I organized this go-fund me for Amber. Please read below for more information on how to help. Please also note, when you make a payment, it will say your donation is going to Jorge Arango, Amber's husband. This is because Jorge is listed as the beneficiary on behalf of Amber who is still in the hospital and does not have easy access at this time to her accounts.

We are reaching out to ask for your help in providing extra financial assistance for Amber and her family. Amber is fighting colon cancer and is presently in stage 4.

Amber is a 42-year-old mother of three and a special education teacher, who has dedicated her life to helping others.

Amber has a wonderful husband Jorge who is holding it down given the circumstances. She also has 3 beautiful young kids, ages 4/11/13. The family has lots of bills and medical expenses to pay and keep up with. Since Amber is not working, they are operating on a single-parent income right now.

While they have lots of family to help out, one thing that would be a huge help is funds to cover bills, expenses, treatments and so forth.

We are asking for anything you can donate to help. If we can get $85 thousand, it would make a big difference in her ability to continue treatment.

We are also aiming to support Amber and Jorge by ensuring funds can go to their lovely kids Jayden, Andrea and Alani for art projects, play and extracurricular activities. Offering space to be, feel and experience lightheartedness during a scary and hard time is important too.

Due to her hospital stays, Amber has missed out on several key moments in her kids’ lives such as graduations, band concerts and more. The money will be used to seek alternative treatments for her and to support her family during this very difficult time. Anything you can offer towards Amber's fight is greatly appreciated.
