Hi, my name is Kayte Haney, and I’m Amanda Wagner’s best friend. With the full support and approval of her family, I have created this GoFundMe to help during the most difficult time of their lives.
On Saturday, November 1st, 37-year-old Amanda Wagner’s life changed in an instant. Without any warning, she suffered a rupture from an Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) — a rare tangle of blood vessels in the brain that disrupts normal blood flow between arteries and veins.
Not knowing she had this condition, Amanda was rushed by EMTs to Thomas Jefferson Hospital, then life-flighted to Jefferson Neurology in Philadelphia for emergency, life-saving surgery. Since then, she has bravely undergone three brain surgeries and continues to fight with unimaginable strength and courage.
Amanda is a devoted wife and mother and is a beloved part of her community — always kind, giving, and full of life. Now, her family faces a long and uncertain road to recovery.
This GoFundMe has been created to help keep Amanda’s husband by her side and to assist with the mounting medical bills, travel costs, and recovery expenses that come with such a sudden and devastating event.
Any donation — big or small — will make a difference for this family as they navigate the long journey ahead. If you’re unable to give financially, please consider sharing this page and keeping Amanda and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for helping support Amanda in her fight for recovery.
