Two years ago Amanda went through the horrific ordeal of having a large mass removed through emergency brain surgery, and was subsequently diagnosed with brain cancer. She received chemo and radiation after surgery, all smiles and radiating her own positive energy to everyone around her. For over a year her scans have been clean, until this past December when they found another tumor.
She went for her second surgery in January, and is starting more chemotherapy and radiation treatments over the next 46 weeks.
Amanda is a genuinely good hearted, angel on earth type of person. She has carried that through to her nursing career, but will need to take time off due to her treatments. She will need help with her numerous medical and financial bills, along with other necessities such as rent and groceries.
